This year, we gather in gratitude to honor Jacky and her incredible 37 years as the heart and soul of First Step. Together, we’ll celebrate her retirement, the joyful community she nurtured, and the lasting impact of her work with children and families. We’ll also take this opportunity to welcome our new families and invite First Step alumni and their families back into the place where so many memories began. Come share stories, laughter, and connection as we revisit cherished moments, celebrate the present, and look forward with excitement. (cash, card, or Venmo) so you can grab some delicious food from the food truck Why: Each year, First Step hosts a “Welcome!” event where First Step families—old and new—come together to relax, connect, and celebrate community. This year’s gathering is extra special: we’ll also be celebrating Jacky, who is retiring after selling First Step to the South Freeport Church.
